I would like to wish Taylor a very happy birthday! He turns 28 today! Here’s hoping he’ll get some time off from his busy schedule to celebrate!

I also want to say that I would like to encourage everyone to steer clear from the leaked workprint of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Let’s all support Taylor and the movie by seeing it in the cinema and not on our computer screens. We all want a Gambit movie, don’t we!? So, making this movie successful at the box office is the way to go and maybe we’ll get our wish granted!

Anyways, look for some new Friday Night Lights related screencaps in the gallery coming up later today.

I’m waiting for the official announcement before I entirely believe it. It seems too good to be true in a way. *lol* No word on whether Taylor is set to return in full capacity or as a guest star to wrap up his character’s storyline.

It’s official: ‘Friday Night Lights’ renewed for two more seasons

Touch-freaking-down!

Sources at NBC are now confirming what I first reported earlier this month: DirecTV and NBC have come to terms on a deal that ensures Friday Night Lights will stick around for not one but two more seasons!

And I repeat: Touch-freaking-down!

Although NBC declined to comment, my Peacock insider says the pact guarantees that FNL will see a fourth and fifth season of 13 episodes each. Similar to this season’s shared-window experiment, DirecTV will get first crack at the episodes followed by an encore run on NBC.

Let’s get a chant going in the comments section! And while you’re at it, pray that the show’s creative mastermind, Jason Katims, finds a way to juggle both FNL and that prospective Parenthood series he’s producing for NBC. Ditto director Jeffrey Reiner, who’s attached to NBC’s Trauma pilot. Losing one would be devastating; losing both would be a catastrophe. So how about we lose neither? You with me? (source)

Looks like we’ll be seeing a whole different Taylor in his new movie The Bang Bang Club which is currently shooting in South Africa.

Photographer Kevin Carter, who later committed suicide, is being played by US actor Taylor Kitsch who did not join the rest of the cast as he was having his hair dyed dark brown for the role.

Rautenbach said Kitsch lost nearly 14kg to play the role of Carter, who was being interviewed for winning a Pulitzer Prize at the time Oosterbroek was shot. (source)

Screencaps of Friday’s new episode of Friday Night Lights are now online. Only two more episodes left this season.

Thanks to my dear friend Jasmin, I was able to replace the tagged outtakes of Taylor’s photoshoot for Flaunt with untagged versions. Such a stunning shoot, I hope you’ll enjoy those pics. And don’t forget to visit Jasmin’s terrific fansite for actor Chris Lowell, whom you might recognize from tv shows such as Veronica Mars or Private Practice!

Here’s a little treat for you. Over 50 new outtakes of Taylor’s shoots for InStyle and Women’s Health have been uploaded to the gallery. Haven’t seen those around anywhere else. I’ve actually spent some money on acquiring them, so if you repost, it would be most appreciated if you could link back to taylor-kitsch.com and give the site a shout-out. Thanks! That said, on to the prettiness!

Ps: Remember to register in the gallery to view those pictures. Sorry for the inconvenience guys, but it’s kind of a necessity. I hope you understand. And if you should have any trouble setting up your account, please contact me right away.

Due to popular demand, VanityFair.com has posted another interview with Taylor.

Friday Night Lights: Taylor Kitsch Milks the Clock
by Marnie Hanel

Earlier this month we interviewed Taylor Kitsch, who plays flowing-haired fullback Tim Riggins on Friday Night Lights. The ne’er-do-well’s Q&A went straight to our most-popular list, leading us to believe that VF Daily has considerably more football fans than we originally thought. This week we revisit the town Lothario with a second cut of the interview. Catch a new episode of F.N.L. tonight.

VF Daily: Wow, you have a strong Canadian accent. Was it difficult for you to master the Texas drawl?

Taylor Kitsch: I’ve had to do accents a lot and it’s something I take extremely seriously. I had dialect training even before I went to Austin to shoot the pilot. I’m thankful to have it to play this kid. Having that Texas accent pulls you right into the character.

Did you read for any of the other F.N.L. roles?

I read for Jason Street, but I really wanted to play Riggins. Weeks later, they called me back to read for Riggins. And, well, we kind of hit that one out of the park. I can’t imagine the cast any other way. Everyone has found their niche. Continue Reading
